Coming to an end - maybe

It has come to my attention, people, including parents, were "warned" not to use this site or they would get in trouble. I don't know the specifics and it doesn't really matter to me. This site was set up for parents, but soon players and other fans were using the site also. This has never been an "official" school site and never advertised as such. It was not set up my any employee of the school district and has always been a parent run site. Any such threats were completely out of line.

I am proud of the fact that a search of "stevens football" on Google, Yahoo and Live Search, all return this site as the #1 hit.

The site will stay up at least until the domain registration ends, but could be around longer. Anyone interested in purchasing the domain, can use the contact page to make an offer for the domain.

New account access has been terminated. Existing accounts have been disabled.

It is sad that trying to be supportive, resulted in threats.

A New Season For The Raiders

It is the start of a new season and there are a lot of changes this year; a new head coach, a couple of new assistant coaches, new players, a new activities director and the addition of the Quarterback Club to name a few. With new players, there are also new parents, family and friends. Please spread the word that the stevensfootball.org website is still up and running. We want to encourage everybody to use this website for communicating and sharing photos with each other. This is for all levels of the Stevens football program.

We are looking forward to the new season with enthusiasm and positive attitudes! Let's Go Raiders!

stevensfootball.org to continue

Since I posted the article, Looking for interested parents, late last month, three parents have contacted me about continue stevensfootball.org. There were Rhonda Ybanez, Susan Gramberg and Jeff Maks. In that article, I was looking for help cover some of my expenses, and Rhonda has taken care of that. So this site will continue to be a place "for parents, players and fans" of Stevens Football.

If you are interested in helping with this site, posting stories, uploading photos, etc., please contact one of those three individuals. They will be coordinating the information posted while I'll will provide technical support for the site.

If you previously had an account on the site, it is once again active. New accounts can be requested, but must meet the requirements stated on the Create new account page. Before you account becomes active, it will need to be reviewed and approved my an adminstrator.

If you have suggestions for improving the site, please let me know by using the contact form.

Looking for interested parents

In the fall of 2006, I started this website primarily as a means of communicating to parents about what was happening with the Stevens Football program. Interest grew so players and fans was added. Additional features were added including a calendar & photo gallery. As my son was player, and I enjoy taking pictures of my kids activities, even if I'm not all that good, I made some of them available on this website for those interested. My son graduated in 2007.

In the fall of 2007, there were interested parents that really like the website and the easy means of communicating and were willing to keep the site updated. Other parents were willing to take photos and upload them to the website. So the site continued.

So, are there any interested parents that want to keep this site alive? Are there any parents willing to cover the cost of this site? The main cost is the domain registration fee which would be around $10, plus some help covering the hosting costs, which again, are not all that much, maybe another $10 or so. Plus, it would require some of my time to administer the site, authorizing new users, software updates as they become available, etc. which I would donate.

If anyone is interested, please contact me through the contact form on the site.
